Bugs + Fixes

In module 3.16 "PLOT MATRIX HISTOGRAMS", the graphic command "P" (to send the current plot to the plot file) was reported not to work properly. The problem has now been located and fixed. Until the distribution of the next software release, the output of module 3.16 may be directed to the plot file by enabling switch no.1 (on=1) before entering the module.

The auto assignment, module 5.21, was reported to abort when attempting to perform an equilibrium assignment using fixed link times (volume delay functions not dependent on "volau") or volume delay functions that are not strictly increasing functions of "volau". The problem has since been located and fixed. Until the relase of module 5.21 is distributed, the problem may be circumvented by adding a very small linear term in "volau" to the (otherwise non strictly increasing) volume delay functions. It should be noted that "flat" volume delay functions (e.g. BPR type functions with very high exponents or stair case functions) may lead to a non-unique solution in terms of link volumes. The use of a small linear term in "volau" to make the volume delay functions strictly increasing is therefore a good practice in any case.

In early versions of the network calculator, module 2.41, the number of operands in the algebraic expression was limited to 50, and the module misbehaved without warning when this limit was exceeded. This limit has now been increased to 300, which should suffice for even the most elaborate formulae.
